Otter Co-Op Operations Support Specialist - Lower Mainland in Abbotsford, British Columbia

Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a full-time Operations Support and Pricing Specialist for all Otter Co-op gas bar locations in Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Okanagan and Thompson-Nicola.

We operate three food and pharmacy stores (including one with a fashion and hardware department), thirty-one Angry Otter liquor stores, two feed mills, two bulk petroleum facilities, the Angry Otter Tap & Forno and Brewery in North Vancouver, the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, the Highwayman Pub in South Surrey and twenty-five gas station/convenience stores. What you’ll do:

• Maintaining store files, pricing programs, and assisting with store specials

• Help develop and implement training guidelines and detailed walkthroughs for procedures and processes.

• Train and assist employees on procedures, processes, and promotions.

• Help maintain, update, and utilize SharePoint.

• Ensure accuracy for file maintenance, changes, corrections, costing and margins for gas bar division.

• Uploading inventory, tobacco, and lottery documentation into SharePoint.

• Updating C-store inventory, costing, margins, and new SKU input into point of sale systems.

• Assisting with inputting and maintaining Min and Max levels for inventory stock levels.

• Support with inventory roll counts (input and helping stores stay on schedule).

• Monthly specials downloads, updates, changes, and support to advise buyers and managers for long buys.

• Maintain tracking spreadsheets with vendor marketing and advertising.

• Running sales statistics reports to provide cost analysis/profit and loss data by category.

• Maintain an order and product tracking document for core SKU’s.

• Support the process for price checking local competitors.

• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

• Experience as a gas bar Associate or retail experience is an asset.

• Experience with CRM and POS systems (Storepoint POS system an asset)

• Must be very accurate, detail orientated and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication, people, and customer service skills

• Must have solid basic math skills.

• Intermediate computer skills (including typing and MS office products – Word, Excel & Outlook)

• Motivation and ability to work in a busy work environment is required.

• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment.

• Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.

• Must have reliable transportation to be able to travel to and between locations.

• Must have open availability to work up to 40 hours per week with a variety of shifts, 7 days a week generally between 8:00am and 6:00pm, however some shifts will be as early as 6:00am.
