Robert Half Facilities Maintenance Specialist in Alameda, California

Description

Join a dynamic team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician with a focus on electrical and carpentry expertise! We're seeking individuals with a strong background in electrical systems, carpentry, or certifications to manage and maintain a facility's infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound facilities requests on the help desk system for various needs and resolve. Must be able to sit and/or stand up to 8 hours while performing these tasks.

  • Perform and/or supervise general maintenance and repair activities within the facility including but not limited to office equipment, furniture, and facilities manufacturing equipment.

  • Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs, prolonged standing and walking, climb, bend, stoop and reach for extensive periods of time while performing these tasks.

  • Manage work performed by outside service providers such as janitorial, HVAC, data cabling, electrical, plumbing, etc...

  • Manage the Facility's preventative maintenance schedule and track work performed with full understanding of a computerized maintenance management system.

  • Schedule work with and supervise outside service providers to perform equipment and furniture installations, repair work, moves, and emergency calls.

  • Assist in employee moves and/or supervise vendor to perform work

  • Support corporate event services, such as all-hands meeting set up and breakdown

  • Track all employee locations within the office, and keep a live record of occupied/available seating

  • Provide and install ergonomic equipment

  • Order and stock facilities supplies including cleaning, ergo, filters, etc.

  • Diagnose and perform mechanical and electrical repairs, handling manufacturing and material handling equipment including but not limited to: forklifts, boom lifts, boat lifts, pumps, compressors, transport vehicles, and building infrastructure.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, carpentry, and electrical.

  • Preferred Technical understanding of equipment and processes used in the composites industry.

  • Strong technical background in building infrastructure, repairs and maintenance

  • Ability and willingness to manage schedule and perform over time and/or after-hours work as needed

  • Strong understanding of Job Hazard Analysis Risk Matrix.
