Inspire Brands Senior Manager, Finance International in Atlanta, Georgia

Primary responsibilities of the Senior Manager – Financial Management (International) includes the below in conjunction with other requirements pursuant to the role:

  1. Support the Senior Director – Financial Management (International) and the SVP of Franchise Finance in all aspects of International financial and strategic support as required of FP&A leadership.

  2. Manage day-to-day FP&A oversight and other related Financial and Development support aspects of the international business (e.g., under the oversight of the Senior Director).

  3. Manage and develop a team of two Senior Financial Analysts.

This Senior Manager role will be responsible to provide in-depth and insightful analytical support for the Inspire International business with a strong FP&A leadership focus on the annual Budget, Long Range Plan, monthly and/or quarterly forecasts, and month end actual results analysis and variance explanations. The individual will be a key business partner of the international field-based team and will be responsible for special ad-hoc projects requiring analytical, presentation, and leadership skills.

The Senior Manager will own oversight and accuracy requirements for all analysis performed by the two Senior Financial Analysts that directly support the Inspire Brands international business including, but not limited to: Marketing, Operations, Development, Omnichannel, and various Shared Services segments.

This position will play a key supporting role in the implementation and execution of strategic initiatives core to the growth of our international business and will have direct involvement in alignment of future financial and strategic goals as a business partner and a member the International and Franchised Finance teams.

This position sits within our Atlanta Support Center with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage continuous improvement and efficiency of the budgeting and forecasting process while ensuring an elevated level of accuracy, leveraging systems capabilities, and enhancing metric and benchmarking routines; proactively identify areas for improvement and produce persuasive, data-driven arguments to support recommendations

  • Oversee the management of the international monthly financial close process and provide guidance and oversight as needed to two International Senior Financial Analysts

  • Be the lead financial contact for the International Operations, Development, Marketing, and Omnichannel teams, and provide regular support and analysis, including brand and regional scorecards, product mix and sales analyses and other financial support, as necessary.

  • Ability to efficiently evaluate complex situations and provide sound financial and business recommendations.

  • Be innovative in thought process and be open and collaborative (always) with the extended international team.

  • Possess an ability to influence decision making through strong quantitative analysis…in conjunction with comprehensive qualitative evaluation.

  • Candidate must possess the ability to independently problem-solve and to provide meaningful and value-added business specific recommendations

  • Manage, develop, inspire, coach, mentor, and motivate team of two Senior Financial Analysts

  • Establish best practices and promote a culture that emphasizes accountability, integrity, partnership, and transparency

  • Anticipate and deliver ad-hoc projects to support the International Leadership Team (ILT)

  • Gain an understanding of various international markets through the lens of macro-economics, the food & beverage landscape, and other areas impacting the business (currency, regional/market volatility, etc.)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4-year degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field

  • Graduate Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred

  • Prior international experience preferable, but not required

  • 10+ years in Progressive Financial Planning & Analysis or similar experience in Finance. International experience preferred.

  • 3+ years prior people management required; retail or QSR industry a plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, or ABILITIES

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with exceptional diligence

  • Results driven with the ability to perform successfully in ambiguous situations and compile sound business recommendations with limited information.

  • Ability to influence processes and educate cross functional partners on financial ramifications at all levels.

  • High performer who can independently balance multiple competing priorities and deadlines in a demanding environment with ability to prioritize and pivot quickly.

  • Skilled relationship builder with proven ability to simplify and interpret complex data to distill key actionable insights for leadership and articulate key financial results, concepts, and ideas to a non-financial audience.

  • Agile learner who can research, compile, analyze and interpret substantial amounts of data.

  • Initiative-taking and naturally curious professional who thrives on continuous improvement, process efficiency and problem solving.

  • Mastery knowledge of corporate finance, management reporting best practices, financial reporting, and financial modeling

  • Collaborator and initiative-taker who exercises discretion and independent judgment.

  • Strongly preferred: Experience with ePBCS, SmartView and other Oracle applications

  • Strongly preferred: Experience with Business Intelligence analysis and presentation tools, including Tableau and Power BI

  • Strongly preferred: Experience supporting widespread field environment

  • Preferred: International business and / or language experience. International business experience in both emerging and developed countries.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
