About Barton Creek Country Club:

Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country just outside the city of Austin, Barton Creek Country Club is a leader in luxury golf and hospitality. Known for its exceptional service, stunning landscapes, and premier golfing, we are dedicated to offering our members and guests an unparalleled experience. We are seeking a Director of Restaurants and Events to lead our member dining and event services. The role is key to exceeding expectations in dining and social experiences at a premier country club, ensuring high levels of member satisfaction and engagement.

Job Summary

The Club Food & Beverage Outlet Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the Club Food & Beverage outlets, in accordance with Omni Barton Creek Country Club standards. This role focuses on enhancing the dining experience, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and managing the staff to create memorable dining experiences for members.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of all club dining facilities.

  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, cleanliness, and dining experience of restaurant members. Maintain condition of cleanliness and presentation of the outlet dining room.

  • Assist in the execution of a wide range of member events, including social gatherings, holiday events, and special promotions.

  • Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings.

  • Ensure all staff has completed side work checklists for dining room.

  • Assist in overall management of the outlets.

  • Spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies.

  • Hold pre-shift meetings.

  • Follow up on established training steps.

  • Handle member comments and complaints and ensure member and guest satisfaction.

  • Stay on the floor during peak hours.

  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.

  • Assist manager in scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.

  • Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily.

  • Assist manager in performance management for staff, including monitoring attendance, conducting annual reviews, facilitating department meetings, disciplinary actions.

  • Maintain work email and responses.

  • Train and lead a team of food and beverage staff to ensure exemplary service and efficiency.

  • Responsible for hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and coaching associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Participates in ongoing facility inspections throughout the club to assure that cleanliness, maintenance, safety and other standards are consistently attained.

  • Monitors associates professional appearance standards as applicable.

  • Conducts training and other meetings with department staff.

  • Foster a culture of excellence and hospitality that aligns with the club's prestige and members' expectations.

  • Collaborate with other club departments to enhance overall member satisfaction and engagement.

  • Ensure service to all guests follows established standards, is consistent, efficient, and courteous.

  • Perform any other duties required by senior management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain current Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications.

  • 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager, preferably in a 4 star high volume Restaurant or hotel is preferred.

  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi task.

  • Prior serving and cash handling experience preferred.

  • Must be able to work flexible shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Collaborate with culinary team in creative in food presentations, specials and promotions.

  • Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.

  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Understanding previous culinary training or experience with Menu Design.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work on feet for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
