The Sr. Business Consultant provides Sub-Acute and Therapy Services Division leadership with industry-wide methodologies (lean, six sigma, project management) to develop new programs, create new/improve existing processes, and ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives. The Sr. Business Consultant is responsible for defining the scope, leading the project, and ensuring task completion and issue resolution. The Sr. Business Consultant is an agent of change and must be capable of forming and sustaining relationships quickly at all levels in the internal organization, as well as with external stakeholders (State, County, LTC Communities, etc.). The Sr. Business Consultant will be able to adapt to changing priorities, demonstrate executive presence, possess effective interpersonal skills, establish good working relationships, foster cooperation in others, and be a creative problem-solver. The Sr. Business Consultant must be able to deliver executive-level presentations, effectively delegate work, hold others accountable for deliverables, and effectively communicate with key program stakeholders about program status and issues. The Sr. Business Consultant will provide leadership to other teams across internal and external organizations and stakeholders related to Sub-Acute and Therapy Service-specific initiatives and program development. Finally, but foundationally, the Sr. Business Consultant is accountable for facilitating a highly effective work culture for the Sub-Acute and Therapy Services Division and its reputation within Penn Medicine, as well as among external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Provides business consulting and support for strategic initiatives.

• Assumes the leadership role or partners with Project Champion/Lead to implement project or strategic initiative.

• Defines project scope, goals, project, and change management plan.

• Communicates project status and potential risks with stakeholders.

• Identifies areas of opportunity for the division to provide expertise and works with management to move forward.

• Partners with other team members to provide support when needed.

• Facilitates conversation with project teams to provide a cooperative environment of open communication and mutual

respect among all team members.

• Delivers executive-level presentations.

• Supports process improvement training by either providing classroom instruction or student mentorship/feedback.

• Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures

• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree and 5 + years health care or business experience (Required)

• Master's degree in healthcare, business, process engineering (Preferred)

• Prior experience developing, implementing, and managing complex projects/programs (Preferred)

• Prior experience working with health care leaders in Long Term Care, and/or other post-acute levels of care.

• Six Sigma/Change Management Certification (Preferred)
