Overview:

This role is seeking a software development engineer with a focus on maintaining, upgrading, and developing software, including but not limited to engineering tools, CRM, etc. for the Aerostructures Aftermarket team, within the Advanced Structures Business Unit. The engineer will be instrumental in recommending adjustments to resolve software issues, enhancing the functionality of existing software, and ensuring that all software design, application, and maintenance adhere to the highest quality standards, following the software development life cycle (SDLC).

P3 Senior Lead Engineer – Digital Tools

Primary Responsibilities:

• Possess a minimum of 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, leveraging object-oriented techniques and fundamental software patterns and best practices.

• Keep abreast of new technologies and evolving software development practices.

• Design, code, debug software, enhance the performance of existing software, and maintain and upgrade current applications.

• Troubleshoot bugs and make necessary adjustments to optimize software performance.

• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss projects, brainstorm ideas, and propose solutions to any challenges.

• Proficient in development using VBA/VBS, C#, Microsoft .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Strong knowledge of web development, utilizing technologies such as ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, and React.

• Solid understanding of relational database design and transactional systems.

• Exposure to Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Data visualization, and cloud technologies (AWS/Microsoft Azure).

• Conversant with MS Dynamics CRM or any other CRM tool (preferred).

• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering concepts (loads, stress, strain, etc.). to develop tools related to Repairs design and stress.

  Basic Qualifications:

• B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering with 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing or similar role developing software programs and tools.

• M-Tech / ME degree in the related field would be a huge plus.

• Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and software programming languages.

  Primary Skills:

• VBA/VBS, Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET Web API and REST, Oracle/SQL Server, ReactJS, SVN/GitHub.

• Proficiency in .NET 4 – .NET 6, VB.NET, WPF, and ASP.NET.

• Solid knowledge of JavaScript/C# with expertise in Web APIs integration.

• Developer knowledge for Microsoft Dynamics CRM/Dynamics 2016 certification.

• Familiarity with Microsoft DevOps/TFS, MSBuild, and Jira, as well as Python Libraries, PowerBI, Tableau Data Analytics.

• Experience in Customer Service organization and/or Aftermarket Customer Service is preferred.

• Exposure to CAD Design tools such as CATIA and SolidWorks would be advantageous.
