You'll be leading development teams within Santos org that are building cutting edge and highly distributed systems to enable merchants to deliver orders to their customers with incredible speed. You will join a highly technical and entrepreneurial culture defining and building the next generation of a fulfillment solution for 3rd party merchants and brand owners.

As the Software Development Manager, you will be a strong leader who is known for hiring, developing and retaining the best talent. Responsibilities

Drive the development of systems that enable sellers to leverage Amazons fulfillment capabilities.

Troubleshoot systems issues while maintaining high performance and availability standards.

Establish mechanisms to ensure operational excellence for all systems, technical operations, and development practices.

Hiring and developing the best talent, and creating an environment which motivates people to thrive in their expertise and deliver aggressive results.

Define and constantly monitor metrics to improve performance and reduce cost.

Prepare executive level communications to share tactical plans, estimates, justify investment, and highlight product performance.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience

• 7+ years of engineering experience

• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
