Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for two IT Application Development Analyst – Entry, Analyst, or Senior to join our Information Technology team. What does an Application Development Analyst do for us?

Under direct supervision, provides development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of custom developed I.T. solutions, including new applications and integrations, and changes to existing applications and integrations to address business needs. As an Application Development Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that increase efficiency, improve the customer experience, and ensure our developed solutions are stable, resilient, and secure. You will work within a team environment completing assigned tasks based on defined priorities and timelines. Tasks will include a combination of new development, maintenance, support, and issue resolution.

This role has multiple levels available with pay range as follows:

Entry Wage $33.51 - $41.89 Non-Exempt

Analyst/Senior Wage $87,131.20 - $131,164.80 Exempt

A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

Knowledge of:

  • Computer programming concepts, relational databases, programming languages, and system design

Skills in:

  • Oral and written communication, programming language and applications as needed for the position, and customer-service oriented skills

Ability to:

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, be a self-starter, communicate and effectively learn new technologies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Entry Analyst:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Experience:

  • 2 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training

OR

  • Within 1 year of completing a BS in Computer Science (at least 3 years of education in Computer Science)

Analyst:

Education/Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science and 1 year of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training

OR

  • 5 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training

Senior Analyst:

Education/Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science and 3 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training

OR

  • 7 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Project Management and/or programming language certification desirable

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
