TEKsystems Senior Business Analyst (INSURANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED) in Branchville, New Jersey

Description:

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Business Analyst to join our IT organization. Under the direction of the AVP, Business Analysis will be building a best-in-class Business Analyst organization to support various lines of business across the technology organization.

As a member of a Scrum Team, this role will collaborate with Product Owners to define and prioritize requirements, and work with development teams to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget and they help ensure that business needs are aligned with technical capabilities and that IT solutions deliver business value. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to mentor Business Analysts and Associate Business Analysts. This individual must come with a minimum of 3 years for experience in Property & Casualty insurance and have in depth knowledge of working with both business stakeholders and the technical team.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to schedule and facilitate business requirements gathering sessions with business groups on large, complex and/or strategic epics – conducting stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, backlog refinement sessions, etc., in order to document requirements, validate existing requirements and create new user stories. This also includes statutory requirements.

  • Identifying and build relationships with all necessary stakeholders for various projects. This may include Product Owners, Product Managers, IT team, etc.

  • Support developers and testers through the prioritization of user stories. Mentors more junior business analysts and associate business analysts.

  • Document and manage requirements documentation, for different types of work (initiatives, enhancements, regulatory, support, break-fix, etc.) ensuring quality and completeness of all deliverables and obtaining necessary signoffs.

  • Document system changes and conduct training on system changes.

  • Initiate peer review discussions and incorporate feedback into requirement documents.

  • Tracks tasks and accurately provides time estimates for tasks and requirement estimations. Participate in all AGILE ceremonies and activities, while also contributing to demos.
