Job Description:
Lead Business Intelligence Engineers
Job duties:
Create and build robust data models to support end user’s analysis and decision making across multiple business verticals. This includes both end-to-end architecting and busi-ness solutioning as it relates to BI tooling.
Leverage deep technical knowledge of the Azure Intelligence Platform to build robust, reus-able data models.
Work with the business units & IT solution delivery to understand their department’s busi-ness intelligence requirements, formulate use cases, and then architect their needs into effective enterprise-grade self-service BI data models.
Effectively communicate and interact with business and technical personnel in solving complex data related business and technical problems in collaboration with other mem-bers of the Data & Analytics team.
Monitor business intelligence eco-system and identify opportunities to make enhancements. Provide ongoing support for all current BI projects and provide status updates to man-agement as needed.
Ensure BI processes run and complete on a timely basis to ensure business continuity. Ad-here to timelines and excel in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Facilitate upskilling and training initiatives to promote Milwaukee Tool’s data culture and ensure best practices are being followed.
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
Develop, document, and administer best practices for managing training, workspaces, re-porting, datasets, connections, and other BI related content.
Mentor and coach other BI engineers when hitting roadblocks or on best practices.
Job Requirements:
Master’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 4 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6 years of relevant experience. Experience must include:
Building large tabular models following best practices (star schema or snowflake design) using Visual Studio or Tabular Editor.
SQL (MS SQL, T-SQL, PostgreSQL, or SPARQL) with ETL development and data warehousing.
Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Python/R, or Looker) with designing and delivering cross functional custom analytical solutions.
Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) using DevOps or a similar deployment application.
Ensure data accuracy and data integrity by proactively identifying problems/issues.
Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
Administer large-scale PowerBI Platforms.
Position can be fully remote.
