Emerson Service Engineer Control Systems in Bucharest, Romania

As the Service Engineer you will be responsible for providing on-site and in-house service to customers for both new and existing installations / products. This role will require to perform system installation, start-up, commissioning, warranty service, training and after warranty service for our Process Systems and Solutions Business Unit. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provide active on-site / in-house service and maintenance.

  • Supervise and actively installs products, new systems, and system extensions by our customers.

  • Provide remote technical support assistance (phone, modem, internet) for customer users of DeltaV.

  • Investigate systems related customer complaints and report problems.

  • Coordinate repairs and train customers for maintenance issues.

  • Participate in defining and performing acceptance tests.

  • Maintain good relationship with the customer during and after completion of the services.

You deal constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes. Carefully consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Technical Degree or equivalent (electronic/electrical)

  • Proven experience in the process control system industry

  • Strong experience with DCS.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • ESD knowledge is an advantage

  • Prepared to travel whenever vital and on short notice

  • Prepared to undergo technical and specific training whenever the need arises

  • Willingness to react on emergency calls

  • Proficient in English
