Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Cabot, Arkansas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant - Entry Level in Cabot, Arkansas. This role will be instrumental in preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, as well as managing bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. The position also involves internal reporting during the monthly close and assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll.

• Conduct monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting.

• Assist in the month end, quarter end, and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation.

• Help in the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.

• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules.

• Oversee fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation.

• Demonstrate in-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision.

• Handle recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation.

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation.

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner.

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives.

• Conduct ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Full Charge Bookkeeper skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze financial data

• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information.
