POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager that leads and executes projects within the Global Services Organization (GSO) in accordance with GSO Project Management Office (PMO) and AE’s processes. This position leads and partners with local and worldwide cross-functional teams to develop and meet project schedules. This role manages and monitors projects from inception to completion, assuring satisfactory completion and coordinates with all functional departments and with upper-level management. This includes development of program goals that support the business objectives and developing and executing strategies and plans to meet the goals of the Global Services Organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects for the distinct functions of the GSO, including product design engineering, test engineering, operations, business development, analytics, and customer portal.

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and complete small to large scale programs.

  • Track and analyze critical program parameters to improve processes.

  • Track and report risks, delays, scope changes, lessons learned, and drive improvements, mitigations, and corrective actions.

  • Identify variances from plan and recommend corrective actions.

  • Regularly report project status; develop metrics and goals to monitor performance, effectiveness, and efficiency.

  • Interact with other departments, business units, and teams to achieve objectives and improve processes.

  • Coordinate time-sensitive / cross-team integration issue response.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment.

  • Location: Fort Collins, Colorado

  • Interfaces with internal customers in all functional areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with communication and collaboration platforms, such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Project.

  • Experience with business CRM and ERP platforms, such as Salesforce and SAP.

  • Organization, planning and priority-setting skills with the ability to manage aggressive timelines.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build effective teams, including leading extended teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels and locations in the organization.

  • Ability to present clear and concise information to team, internal and external customers, and senior management.

  • Attention to detail, well organized and disciplined. Demonstrate attentiveness to quality and productivity.

  • Ability to achieve results in a matrixed organization.

  • Ability to make independent decisions with strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment.

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams towards a common goal.

  • Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in project management methodologies and reporting tools.

  • Experience in a high-tech engineering environment.

EDUCATION:

  • Essential: Technical bachelor’s degree, project management or similar.

  • Preferred: PMI Certification or equivalent relevant experience.

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
