About You and this Role

Dow has an exciting job opportunity as a Poly 7 Analyzer Technician located in Freeport, Texas.

Provides specialized technical support and solutions for project teams, operations, and maintenance. Understands and implements Most Effective Technology, work process, tools, and industry best practices within their discipline. Requires broadened technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures inspection and maintenance records are maintained within electronic system.

  • Ensures, where providing inspections, reviews are completed on time and that drawings and specifications are followed by fabricators, constructors, and maintenance contractors.

  • Ensures safety in design.

  • Performs calibration and preventative maintenance of analytical systems.

  • Evaluates validity of data, interpret results and takes appropriate action.

  • Follows EH&S and operating discipline management system (ODMS) procedures and practices for work tasks.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required and must meetoneof the following:

  • A minimum of 2 years of Instrumentation & Electrical Technician experience, or an Associate degree or higher in Instrumentation, or in lieu of an associate degree or higher, 3+ years of relevant military experience.

  • Experience in and understanding the flow of maintenance work in various crafts.

  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills.

  • Must have a current, valid US Driver’s License.

  • Have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills

  • Analyzer experience is preferred

  • Experience with SAP, Word, and Excel is preferred.

  • A strong instrumentation background is preferred.

Additional Notes

  • No relocation assistance is not available for this position.
