Position Description: Ryerson an opportunity for a Sales Operations Specialist position for our newly developed Ryerson Advanced Processing Business Development Office in Grand Rapids, MI. As a Sales Operations Specialist position you are responsible delivering excellent customer experiences to our fabrication contract accounts. Experienced in aspects of Customer Service. Understands purchasing and can manage multiple vendors and inventory on a detailed level. Skilled communicator with proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office (excel, word, and email). Highly organized and able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure and deadlines. Reporting to the BDO FAB Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities: * Building strong relationships with the BDO team and our external processing vendors * Modify, track and mange customer orders and inbound raw material purchase orders within SAP * Modify, track and mange external processing orders with Ryerson trusted vendors * Modify, track and mange all supply chain steps to manufacture and deliver finished goods * Keeps internal coworkers informed about order tracking and lead times throughout the entire fulfillment process * Uses critical thinking to solve problems to efficiently provide a delivered product to the customer within the promised time frame * Supports and encourages quality, service, and safety objectives, strategies, and goals that reflect the Company's values, vision, and capabilities for the BDO office * Manage supporting documents of the fulfilment process including BOL, ASN, MTR's, invoices and POD's * All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Position Requirements: * Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience * Prior mix of administration, purchasing, or logistics experience is required * MS Office software skills required including Outlook, Word and Excel * Professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required * Able to work well within a team environment * Positive attitude, goal-oriented, and driven by excellent customer experiences. * SAP knowledge preferred * Bilingual encouraged to apply
