Aerotek Machinist - All Shifts in Hillsboro, Oregon

Description:

Hiring for experienced Mill and Lathe Machinists on day, swing, and weekend shift. These are full time opportunities with a job shop that is busy and expanding! Open to a variety of experience levels, but must have previous schooling and/or experience with CNC mills or CNC lathes.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC mill or lathe by following written and oral work instructions, changing out and adjusting tooling, and making basic code adjustments with supervisor permission as needed.

  • Inspecting parts with precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure quality expectations are met.

  • Reference blueprints and utilize GD&T to create parts.

  • Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on your designated machine. Maintain a clean work station and return any borrowed tools from the Tool Crib.

  • Collaborate with other machinists and supervisors to work through production issues or improvements. Good written and oral communication is a must.

  • Punctual and reliable.

Schedule:

Day Shift 4x10s

Swing Shift 4x10's (includes shift differential $1.50)

Weekend Shift 3x12's (includes shift differential 10%)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years' experience in a CNC machining role, ideally in a job shop environment.

  • Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and interpret GD&T symbols

  • Use of precision measurement tools

  • Ability to perform shop math and convert metric measurements to inches.

  • Ability to perform first article runs and inspections of parts.

  • Stand for the majority of your shift, lift up to 35 pounds independently.
