Technical Collaboration Team (TCT) - Optical Inspection System Engineering Extension
As Applied Materials, continues to grow, we are enhancing our R&D talent and capabilities in multiple disciplines. This is a unique opportunity to technologically lead a multidisciplinary R&D team in Taiwan, which uses cutting-edge technologies for many aspects of our product development. This position is responsible for Enlight product line, 50% support field technical issues, and 50% dedicated to new product R&D projects.
Job profile/description:
Work on customer’s day-to-day production issues to enable smooth fab flow using our tools
Troubleshoot and provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems; Perform root cause analysis (HW debugging) to find tool/module problems
Perform complex experiments to measure tool/module performance vs. specs and understand system limitations
Expert in tool operation; Guide application engineers for optimal utilization of tool capabilities
Investigate detection limitations in complex scenarios and find/develop the optimal tool configurations and workarounds for those scenarios
Be R&D point of contact for collaboration with customers; Take part in customer-facing activities, meetings, and presentations
Drive application and HW development requirements based on field inputs; Take part in future developments
Option: Simulations of light-matter interaction
Job requirements:
MSc/PhD in Physics, Electronics engineering, and Mechanical engineering
R&D Project experience/ Design & perform highly complex experiments: Hands-on experience
Strong analytic skills (System design and coding)
Good problem-solving & troubleshooting skills
Good interpersonal skills
Multi-tasking capability.
Fluent in English & Chinese
Advantage: Experience in light-matter simulations
Advantage: Knowledge of the semiconductor market and technology
Travel to Israel 2-3 times a year + initial 1-2 months training
