Manulife Asset Management Indonesia Chief Investment Officer, Equity will manage all activities in the investment department and oversee the management of the entire investment portfolio (public funds and third-party funds) to achieve optimal returns on the portfolio and meet client objectives, while complying with internal investment policies and applicable laws and regulations. Review and recommend changes to investment strategies from time to time to accommodate economic/market conditions changes .

We are looking for someone with:

M i nimum 13 years' experience in investment management with solid knowledge about Asia , especially in Indonesian equity & capital market.

Fluent in English both oral and written .

Have knowledge of investment as well as capital market and mutual funds .

Have a leadership spirit and strategic ability .

Hold a WMI (Investment Manager Representative) license .

Advanced proficiency in the capital market and mutual fund products as well as wealth management.

Having knowledge of operational mutual funds and wealth management.

Proficient in risk management and capital market regulations and companies .

Ability to build and manage relationships with the key internal stakeholders

On the job you will:

Oversee and manage the investment team and managed funds

Supervise the implementation of investment strategies by portfolio managers, both in the Equity division and in the Fixed Income division.

Building a work culture that is conducive to developing investment strategies and ideas, as well as improving the implementation of investment activities.

Continuously oversee the improvement of a consistent track record of long-term performance .

Allegiance

Ensure the compliance of portfolio managers with investment limits set by the government or authorized bodies, customer/mutual fund investment directives, and other investment parameters set by the Company.

Supervise investment transaction activities by investment dealers, including evaluating trading activities at the end of the day.

Oversee the implementation of rectification in the event of a violation, both active and passive, within the stipulated time.

Maintain that all personnel in the investment department understand all applicable provisions and laws.

Asset Growth

Develop and maintain third-party assets through high-performing i nvestments .

Ass i st i n developing investment strategies for third-party assets (KPD) .

Contribute to mutual fund product planning .

Investment and Research Process

Supervise investment act i v i t i es/processes , especially in the front office (portfolio manager and dealer) in accordance with Company policy.

Evaluate and improve research and investment processes according to the best parameters on an

ongoing basis .

Evaluate the quality of research conducted by each division of Equity and Fixed Income.

Improve the standard quality of credit analysis and fully integrate the credit analysis process applied by the group in the Company.

Infrastructure/operations

Strengthening infrastructure with a focus on office automation and analytical skills of the front desk .

Con t inuously i mprove office automation (depending on the available budget)

Human Capital

Improving the talent/ability of personnel in the investment department, both investment/analytical technical skills, as well as managerial skills (soft skills).

Implement and integrate personnel performance measurement in the investment department, as well as mid-year and year-end performance appraisal processes.

Risk Management

Work closely with the Risk Management division to identify and determine the dimensions of the risks that exist in the investment department, and determine efforts to mitigate these risks

Together with the Operations section evaluate the performance of the broker .

Relations with Marketing Division and Business Development Division

Liaising w i th the business development divis i on to convey market cond i tions and investment strategies to customers/related parties.

Liaising with and assisting the marketing division to increase confidence in the capabilities of the investment team and in educating fellow Selling Agents.
