Title: Director - Software Engineering

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Design, develop, and maintain products for Moodys.com platform using front-end/backend web technologies, databases, and cloud services. Collaborate with other development teams within Digital Insights team and across Moody\'s Analytics to establish technology standards and best practices. Identify and embrace innovative technologies to enhance customer experience, improve platform stability, scalability, and availability. Assist in designing and developing new products and enhancements based on evolving business needs. Evaluate innovative technologies, prototype solutions, and conduct knowledge sharing sessions. Participate in backlog refinements and iteration planning meetings to review and point stories. Take ownership of epics and stories and implement and test features (unit, integration, end-to-end). Use authentication and authorization technologies, such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML. Perform Okta implementation for internal and external clients, modern API development, and AWS infrastructure. Responsible for managing team of developers and QA engineers, including creating project plans, setting timelines, and ensuring team members meet their objectives. Design overall architecture of the system, including integration of Okta and OAuth2. Convert legacy endpoints to modern APIs, ensuring that the system is scalable and secure. Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, following best practices and standards. Oversee implementation of AWS infrastructure, including setting up servers, configuring load balancers, and managing databases. Explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with other teams in the organization. Ensure system is secure, implementing best practices for authentication and authorization, data encryption, and user management. Work closely with the QA team to ensure system is thoroughly tested, including functional, integration, and security testing. Ensure proper documentation is created for system, including technical specifications, user manuals, and system architecture diagrams. Continuously evaluate and improve the system, keeping up with the latest technologies and industry trends, and implementing best practices for software development and security. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor\'s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related IT position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to support enhancements and bug fixes in existing and new applications; applying knowledge of Multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for applications development; working with PL/SQL, Postgres, Python, Informatica, AWS EC2, AWS Quick Sight, AWS S3, AWS Lambda, Tableau, Unix, Shell, Alteryx, GitHub, Git Actions, Bit Bucket, and Jenkins; and working with open source code and frameworks. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is \$169,229 to \$228,650, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skil s, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus.
