What will you contribute?

The Global Solution Consulting (GSC) team works with the various Finastra teams (sales, marketing, product management, professional services, and customer support) contributing to winning business in the market place. They have a wide range of both business & technical skills and competencies within their team, are highly involved in the pre-sales activities, demos, RFIs and RFPs management.

For FusionBanking Trade Innovation and Corporate Channels, our flagship transaction banking systems with more than 300 sites worldwide, Finastra wishes to recruit highly motivated and performance driven individuals who will be responsible for proactively engaging with the sales teams, customers, partners and prospects to drive business opportunities in the region. The role is critical to driving and supporting Finastra revenue goals in region (Europe).

The role requires this individual to lead external engagement and work collaboratively and closely with the sales, product management and services teams to be successful. The individuals will be expected to have a strong Trade Finance business background and an understanding of system architecture and integration either through working with a Finastra customer or through similar work experience with another vendor, show a deep understanding of the business processes of both financial institutions and corporates and be able to position the value of Finastra solution offerings (product and services) to help address those needs.

In the role you will be expected to undertake discovery visits, qualify opportunities, create client specific value propositions and demonstrate the Finastra product set to the level identified in key responsibilities.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Be the functional expert on Fusion Banking Transaction Banking applications and be able to present the value proposition, with additional focus on the other Finastra corporate banking solutions

  • Critical to sales success is often a key differentiator in winning deals combining technical market knowledge with customer influencing skills. Key advisor/leader of strategic deals. Positions combined Finastra products as differentiated proposition.

  • Supports and tailors regional specific and global campaigns. Drives value proposition and execution.

  • Take leadership on challenging customer and internal interactions. Able to achieve Finastra goals in these situations. Confident across all levels (C-suite to user).

  • Establish credibility with the client, analysis of the client’s need and position the Finastra product modules and release features appropriately to ease the sales process and optimize the efficiency

  • Preparation of RFI/RFPs replies to assure the solution is presented according to the key criteria of the prospect/client

  • Emphasis is on being leader on core tasks and opportunities, sharing knowledge on areas of expertise. Collaborate with sales representatives throughout the lifecycle of the sales campaign, including exploratory meetings, demonstrations, workshops, system audits and gap analysis to assure consistency of messages

  • Manage opportunity and bid qualification assessment and coordinate key internal stakeholders involved in the sales process

  • Develops/adapts advanced sales strategies to unique customer needs, Creates customer partnerships, able to x-sell Finastra Products to the customer

  • Leads qualification approach for key/complex ops. Able to think around issues. Signs off on GSC (Global Solution Consultant) recommendation for go/no go decision.

  • Manages end to end process for migration to complex x-product solutions, upgrade proposals.

  • Ensures offer complete solution including delivery. Signs-off other bids

Required Experience:

  • 5-10 years trade finance experience (bank, consulting firm or solution provider)

  • Strong client focus and impeccable professional integrity

  • Bachelor’s degree desirable

  • Demonstrable trade finance and corporate channels experience, ideally as an ex-banker or experience in Trade Innovation or an equivalent vendors software

  • Detailed knowledge of trade finance and operations. Knowledge of front office and associated products beneficial, e.g. doc checking, supply chain finance.

  • Been involved in the implementation of FusionBanking Trade Innovation / Corporate Channels solution within a financial institution is a distinct advantage

  • Experience in financial service software consulting or pre-sales support

  • Ideal candidates will have superior troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and presentation skills in English, another European language would be advantageous

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Creative and able to work under pressure

  • Willingness to travel internationally as may be required from time to time

  • Understanding of the trends and direction of trade finance and the wider corporate banking market

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational abilities and excellent presentation skills
