Robert Half Customer Service - Payment Specialist in Lowell, Arkansas

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Customer Service - Payment Specialist to join our client in the banking industry, located in Lowell, Arkansas. This role primarily focuses on the processing of customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving credit inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. This is a long-term contract with potential to go perm.

Responsibilities:

• Process and accurately execute domestic and international inbound/outbound wire payments

• Perform customer authentication via security PINs and/or third-party identity verification

• Collaborate effectively with team to meet department Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

• Ensure full compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations by following bank policy and procedures

• Monitor inbound/outbound fraud-related payment activity and escalate specific questions related to risk, compliance or loss as needed

• Provide call support and service for commercial-based clients in need of high-value wire payment transaction processing

• Initiate payments related research requests, inquiries, or disputes upon request of internal sales support and/or customers

• Perform general analytics and execution of defined payment-related credit risk exceptions

• Utilize multiple internal servicing systems for research and processing

• Assist periodically with the testing and implementation of new applications, enhancements, conversions, and/or acquisitions

• Proactively seek ways to improve efficiencies and propose ideas regarding operational procedures/methods.

Requirements • Proficiency in handling wire transfers

• Knowledge and understanding of foreign currency transactions

• Excellent customer communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to maintain accurate financial records

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Understanding of banking industry's rules and regulations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
