About the role

Reporting to the Finance Director of Southern Europe, the Commercial Finance Lead will be the key financial business partner to Commercial business leads across France, Italy and eCommerce, driving value creation and excellent, holistic business performance, crafting the future and unlocking opportunities with cross functional teams and both exposure to and influence over the Southern Europe Leadership Teams.

Main responsibilities:

• Works on the compliant, efficient and effective management of financial assets and resources in line with business strategy and operational requirements.

• Focuses on monitoring, reporting and management of financial processes and specialist administration services.

• Provides advice and mentorship as well as ensuring appropriate financial governance and controls are in place.

• Brings proven understanding of end-to-end business processes, applications and systems, Enterprise Resource Planning e.g. S4, digital innovation in respective area of expertise that facilitates transformation to groundbreaking capability building.

• Provide financial expertise and insights to support their client groups to achieve their strategy.

• Develops positive relationships, and requires commercial competence to advise and / or provide a point of contact to help them understand the overall financial services requirements for their area of responsibility.

About you

To be successful in the role you will have to be able to:

• Lead professional associates and/or a team of supervisors and is accountable for the performance and results of the team.

• Able to adapt departmental plans and priorities in order to address resource and operational challenges.

• Provide in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own areas in order to integrate industry best practice to achieve objectives and resolve moderately sophisticated business problems.

• Directly impact the level of service and achievement of own team and closely related teams.

• Guide, influence and persuade others internally and/or externally.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years working and management experience in multinational environment (preferably Consumer Product Goods) with successful experience in commercial finance

• Qualified accountant strongly preferred

• Business partnering experience

• Experience developing talent

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Proficient in English and Spanish

• Proven success building relationships with partners and being able to successfully influence and negotiate in complex situations

• Comfortable with constructive challenge and build process with senior leadership

• Proven success in driving financial rigor within a cross functional team
