Your Challenge

He /she will report to the Head of Project Management Electrification and will have these responsibilities:

  • Drive the execution of the contracts with Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) for the maintenance, renovation and new construction of electrical substations and electrical interconnection substations, transformation, and conversion (AT/MT/3kVcc), from design to the final commissioning, up to the release of the Declaration of Completion of Works by the Client.

  • He /she could be sub-delegated by the primary Delegate of the Employer, for the management of safety on construction sites pursuant to Legislative Decree 81/08.

  • He /she is responsible to prepare, verify and monitor the budget and cost estimates, defining the necessary resources and tools to implement the assigned contracts.

  • Ensures that all the activities are carried out according to the established schedule, in compliance with the quality and performance requirements set out in the contract and with environmental and safety regulations and plans.

  • Lead the economic and contractual definition of the technical changes and variants.

  • Participates in meetings called by the customer representatives / CSE / DL for the operational planning of the works, according to the project’s needs.

  • Prepares and submit to the Client the progress report (SAL), ensuring the projects invoicing and payment plans are respected in accordance with the forecast set up with the Management.

  • Secures design delivery on time and quality and manage technical changes if required.

What you need to bring with you:

  • Degree in Engineer, preferably with an Electrical specialization.

  • Consistent experience in the role within plant engineering companies, preferably in the railway sector within the RFI field.

  • It would be a plus he /she owns the requirements to cover the role of Technical Director pursuant to the RFI Qualification System LTE 001 “Delivery of electrical cabins and substations”

  • Interpersonal and communication skills as well as analysis and synthesis ones; planning and organization skills, problem solving, control, resourcefulness, commitment, and accountability in the role.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Effective collaboration in networks across businesses and functions.

  • Experienced to work in a matrix organization.

  • Being a role model for openness and inclusiveness as a non-negotiable cultural element
