RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Senior Customer Executive position is accountable for managing our Grocery Products Portfolio at Market Basket, as well as our Grocery Products and Meat Products Portfolio for C&S East Independents.
Develops, implements and executes all Market Basket sales and distribution plans for all of our center store brands.
Collaborates with their Customer Business Manager to develop annual Sales plans that are aligned with those of the operating units.
Conducts routine discussions with both Market Basket and C&S Wholesale to create a plan that is mutually beneficial in delivering profitable sales.
Leads Hormel sales reps involved with C&S Wholesale customers by communicating important customer updates to all impacted internal parties.
Identifies threats and opportunities that could affect sales volume, market share, trade efficiencies and profitability to the company and communicates them to their Customer Business Manager.
Aligns the Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing (DSMP) at each customer to ensure the execution of DSMP objectives are met.
Interprets information from category analytics team and Sales Strategy regarding category sales, brand sales, share growth and promotional efficiency. From this information the incumbent provides insights and recommendations on tactics used to drive sales on Hormel brands.
Is responsible for continuing to develop and enhance their competencies through participation in learning and development workshops. These include, but are not limited to training available at the local, regional and national meetings intended to improve selling techniques, knowledge of the customer and company, and other business practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of sales / marketing / sales strategy experience
Thoroughly demonstrated ability to understand and apply business analytics
Pattern of initiative
Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects
Well-developed interpersonal, organizational skills and analytical skills
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Ability to take opportunities from conception to execution
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, or a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the Unites States

Preferred
- 3+ years of sales / marketing / sales strategy experience
LOCATION: Milford, MA.
A comprehensive relocation package to the Milford, MA area will be offered, if required.
TRAVEL: May be necessary up to 10% of the time.
