Job Summary and Qualifications

This role will lead and direct a team of engineers responsible for custom development of applications in the ERP Systems space as well as provide consulting services to other ERP groups including Infor/Lawson, Kronos and their ancillary applications to support the following business operations for the organization:

General Ledger

Human Resources

Payroll

Billing

Accounts Payable

Procurement

The position is responsible for all non-Vendor provided or derived software excluding Financial reporting applications in the ERP Space. This includes but is not limited to DevOps delivery pipelines, Integration infrastructure and developer tooling. The manager will also be responsible for Product Management of application portfolio and determining the future technology direction of the portfolio. by collaborating with business analysts, developers, business owners, and other technicians to identify solutions and ensures that all associated design and implementation work is planned, organized and executed accurately. Position is expected to work closely with leaders in various business areas to define reporting and security needs, as well as plan for future growth.

The ideal candidate possesses and utilizes significant breadth and depth of experience in the ERP related systems and will be expected to oversee and guide the work of all team members. This Manager works across the ERP organization planning and coordinating work efforts with other functional groups, including Infor development teams and other application development teams in addition to infrastructure areas such as system administration teams, database teams, Business Continuity, SOX reporting, and Information Protection.

The key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • To understand the organization’s need for custom development, and when appropriate, to allocate it appropriate to the skills and capacity of other team members, and to provide oversight to ensure the quality and timeliness of this work

  • To maintain current knowledge in used and related technologies and techniques, and to provide leadership to team members in the innovative application of such to the needs of the organization; to set technical direction of the team

  • To interface with other functional support groups in the planning and execution of work involving areas of responsibility.

  • To lead the implementation of process improvement initiatives and to create an environment that places an emphasis on continuous improvement and lean operations.

  • Architectural design, construction, & implementation using current ITG best practice technologies.

  • Collaborative design & development with business owners and business analysts.

  • Problem analysis, diagnosis, and implementation of resolutions

  • Performance monitoring & tuning of integration aspects.

  • On-call support for relevant systems, jobstreams, and processes

  • Capacity planning, monitoring, and upgrade implementation

  • Software upgrade planning and implementation

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree - Required

EXPERIENCE

5 or more years of IT experience – Required

Experience in a management role - Preferred

Software & Technologies:

Cloud technologies

Software design systems and patterns

Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools

Database and datastore technologies.

Infor Cloudsuite knowledge is a plus

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS

Demonstrated leadership skills, including leading technical teams on direction, and driving issues to resolution.

Strong interpersonal skills, including a desire to work within a highly-matrixed, team-oriented environment. Independent operators are not sought and will not be successful in this position. Candidate must demonstrate a history of increasing responsibility and leadership.

Expertise in guiding all facets of software development (requirements definition, design, implementation, and operational support).

Familiarity with lean/agile development or operations is considered a plus, as this will be an increasing focus both within this job and throughout the wider organization.

Ability to define and gain adoption of best practice techniques.
