Job duties - Design, develop, implement, test, and document embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems and services with microservice architecture. using AWS step function, SQS queue, AWS lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, etc. Design and develop cloud-based infra through CDK/Cloudformation with CI/CD integration. Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. Participate/lead in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation. Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools. Mentor junior development engineers. Provide technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using Object Oriented Design and JavaScript. Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered distributed services using distributed programming. Subject to relocation to unanticipated worksites in the U.S. Ability to telecommute.Education and Experience required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2 years of experience as a software engineer.Background - Knowledge of web development. Experience in the design and development of large-scale distributed software services with microservice architecture, using frameworks like ASW step function, SQS queue, AWS lambda, DynamoDB & EC2. Experience developing monitoring and alarming systems. Experience leading full development cycles, end-to-end from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. Experience designing and developing cloud-based infra through CDK/Cloudformation with CI/CD integration. Experience designing and developing data pipeline with frameworks such as Glue or EMR and analyzing data with Pandas.Location - HQ: New York, NY - Subject to relocation to unanticipated worksites in the U.S. Ability to telecommute.
