Job Description

Overview:

Supervise National Video staff and negotiate National Video buys

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, train and mentor Negotiators and Assistant Negotiators

  • Oversee mentoring of media trainees within the group

  • Contribute to all aspects of the Upfront and Scatter process including negotiating deals and preparing client presentations

  • Evaluate, steward and track added value opportunities, including determining and reporting ROI value

  • Maintain buys – make goods, discrepancies, pre-posts, post analysis

  • Approve specs, assign due dates, ensure due dates are met

  • Maintain approved budgets

  • Project audience estimates and trends

  • Develop and train team on negotiating tactics and in keeping on top of the latest trends in the industry and status of the marketplace

  • Participate in client meetings/conference calls, new business presentations, and other professional functions

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities, determine and delegate workflow, priorities, deadlines, and train and mentor staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 4+ years of experience working at a media agency, negotiating all TV dayparts and online video

  • Strong negotiating and presenting skills, excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Detail oriented, able to multi-task and work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Media Ocean software (DDS, MBOX) preferred

Compensation Range: $85,000 - $90,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
