As a Lead Software Engineer at UKG's Noida location, you'll have the opportunity to lead initiatives that integrate performance and resiliency into our development processes. Your role will be critical in architecting solutions that are not only robust and scalable but also innovative and efficient. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development efforts, focusing on innovative solutions and ensuring alignment with business requirements.

  • Participate in Agile development processes, collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality software.

  • Design and develop scalable software solutions, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.

  • Work closely with other engineers and architects to define and refine software architecture and design.

  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and a culture of excellence.

  • Assist in the documentation of software specifications and architecture decisions.

  • Estimate development timelines and contribute to product planning discussions.

  • Promote and implement best practices in software development, focusing on efficiency and quality

Qualifications

• Graduate/ Postgraduate in Computer Science with at least 60% throughout academics

• 5 – 8 yrs' IT experience and more than 5 yrs of relevant experience

• Experience in Java/J2EE , Kotlin, Spring framework, JPA/Hibernate, Microservices based architecture, SOA

• Experience in OOPS, Data Structures and Algorithms, multithreading, identity & security controls

• Experience in unit testing frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, PowerMock etc

• Experience with event-driven Microservices with Kafka/RabbitMQ

• Experience with caching services such as Redis

• Experience with Surge engine is a plus

• Knowledge or experience with SaaS design principles and solutions

• Experience with the development of API’s and Web Services

• Experience with Angular, JQuery , AJAX ,JavaScript, HTML, CSS

• Experience with Typescript and Node.JS is a plus

• Experience in database modeling, relational and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB

• Ability to write intermediate SQL Queries

• Proficiency with Git as a version control system

• Good understanding of software security practices

• Exposure to Agile/SCRUM methodology and TDD (Test Driven Development)

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills and passion for cutting edge technologies

• Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform and public cloud deployment platforms such as GCP/AWS

• Knowledge or experience with Jenkins, Quark, Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, Influx DB and Dynatrace is a plus

• Exposure to continuous deployment, unit testing and automation tools like Jasmine, Karma, Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Nightwatch, Selenium is a plus

• Experience in writing Integration Test Case in Nunit Framework is a plus

• Experience with analytical tool like Pendo is a plus

• Experience with multitenant application is a plus
