Job Description

• Perform damage and repair assessments to civil infrastructure (buildings, roads, utilities and other systems)

• Oversee preparation of public bid packages for repair and construction of infrastructure

• Make routine inspections of facilities to assess and determine construction and/or repair operations

• Attend preconstruction and in-house design review meetings

• Coordinate with consulting engineers/architects for the production of necessary construction plans and specifications

• Review construction plans and specifications for completeness and code compliance

• Prepare and maintain records and reports

• Prepare and issue permits and verify compliance with permit requirements

• Provide direct supervision over City Engineering Technicians and Engineering Inspectors

• Need at least 5 years of relevant experience

Skills and Requirements

• Experience with civil, site, utility, environmental construction or engineering experience

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to pass a background check and drug test

• Must be able to lift and move up to 45 pounds - Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, etc null
