DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems by combining software and systems engineering approaches. Lead problem resolutions for aligned lines of business (LOB), providing end-to-end resolution to ensure completion of all jobs within defined objectives. Troubleshoot priority incidents, identify Root Cause (RC), and resolve using scripting, coding, and troubleshooting to minimize impact to customers. Improve the stability and performance of applications through continuous process improvement, ensuring application wellness, identifying system bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvements with the goal of delivering service improvements to the business. Optimize existing systems, build infrastructure, develop code and scripts or utilize core support tools to automate manual tasks, to create efficiencies and improve day-to-day practices and activities in production environment. Partner with global support and development teams throughout software lifecycle to ensure sustainable software releases. Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive action. Build and drive adoption for greater resiliency patterns. Provide 24x7 support coverage as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: A three- or four-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Site Reliability Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, Associate (IT), IT Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: data management; data warehousing; developing and designing ETL methodology for supporting data transformations using Ab Initio or Informatica; Oracle; Teradata; Java programming and debugging; Linux platforms; Unix scripting; SQL debugging; batch scheduling tools such as Control-M, Meastro, or Autosys; and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Edge, or Dynatrace.

Job Location: 8181 Communications Parkway, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
