Oracle Principal Site Reliability Developer in PUNE, India
Job Description
Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on the shared full stack ownership of a collection of services and/or technology areas. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Responsible for the design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability. Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture. Articulate technical characteristics of services and technology areas and guide Development Teams to engineer and add premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio. Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack. Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles. Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Understand and explain the affect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
12+ years of hands-on experience for customer facing data platform products
Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast paced environment
Must have
Hands-on Experience with Databases including Database Administration, DB internals, testing critical Security and Database fixes.
Strong Core DBA Skills DB12c / DB18c / DB 19c / DB 21c / DB 23c including RMAN, Data guard, and Real Application Cluster (RAC), TDE TDE (Transparent Database Encryption) and Goldengate
Big Data platform experience with structured and unstructured data. Proven experience of using SQL & NoSQL datastores like MongoDB, Cassandra etc.
Experience with writing and publishing technical white papers.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Experience with Massively Parallel Processing systems
Experience with technologies like high availability, backup/recovery, disaster/recovery
Troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
SRE support
Work with customers, partners, sales, support teams to ensure successful product adoption by customers
Creating demos to showcase product capabilities for customers as well as teams inside oracle.
Collaborate with Dev, QA and documentations teams.
Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that may dent customer’s ability to execute
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Internet scale applications
Experience in Oracle Globally Distributed Database
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Experience in Kubernetes and Python.
DevOps exposure and knowledge of tools such as Terraform, Ansible
