Plus you get great tips, too!Responsibilities:Sales: Encourage guests to “take us home” by upselling wine and accessory sales, upselling menu items, and talking up our events to customers.Cashiering: Handle transactions and maintain accurate money handling.Stocking: Keep the tasting room well-stocked and organized.Opening & Closing: Assist with opening and closing procedures.Inventory: Help manage inventory levels.Food Platters: Prepare food platters for guests, and assist with food prep, dishwashing, bussing, running, etc.POS & Reservation System: Work with our POS & reservation system to create an excellent guest experience.Qualifications:Customer Service Skills: Be professional, fun, and trustworthy.Energy & Multi-Tasking: Be outgoing, energetic, and able to handle multiple tasks.Restaurant /Bar/Retail Experience preferred.Shift Requirements: Must be able to work at least 1 (8-hour) Saturday or Sunday shift, as well as 1 4-8 hour weekday shift (day or evening). We do our best to work around pre-planned vacations, but we do prefer applicants who can work July and August, as well as Memorial Day Weekend, the last weekend of June, July 4th weekend, Labor Day Weekend and Columbus Day weekend.Physical Demands: Able to lift and move cases of wine (approx. 35 lbs) and operate office machinery.Working Conditions: Comfortable working in a retail / restaurant/ bar setting with customers.Transportation: Reliable transportation is a must.Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older (tasting wines is part of the job!).Location: While our associates typically concentrate their hours at one location, we are looking for staffers willing to work both our Lake George and Queensbury Tasting Rooms!Pay: This position pays $15.25 per hour, plus tips.
