Robert Half Cash Management Specialist in Richmond, Virginia

Description We are offering an opportunity to join our team in Richmond, Virginia, as an Accounts Receivable Clerk. This role is integral to our financial operations, with a focus on managing daily financial transactions and maintaining related financial records for our clients. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of account reconciliation, billing, cash applications, and cash collections.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations between multiple bank accounts and mutual fund transfer agent records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Monitor and manage mutual fund cash payment queues, performing reconciliation to verify completion with appropriate parties.

• Act on exceptions that occur in the financial transaction workflow, resolving accordingly.

• Track and resolve failed transactions with custodians and counterparties.

• Initiate money movement as needed via Fed wire, ACH, or check.

• Manage the delivery of standard reporting sets (monthly, quarterly etc.) required by our clients in compliance with industry regulations.

• Act as a liaison for other internal Operations units, providing consistent financial data analytics.

• Review and provide policy and procedure documentation on standard and out-of-standard workflow situations as observed.

• Expertly utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online, and QuickBooks Pro to manage and analyze financial data. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, and Commercial Collections.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise, QuickBooks Online, and QuickBooks Pro.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.

• Professional certification such as Certified Accounts Receivable Professional (CARP) is a plus.
