Job Summary
The Director of Beverage is responsible for overseeing our Beverage Operations at the location. Ensuring the proper resources needed for the program and adjusting the beverage strategy as fit with emerging trends. The ideal candidate will be an experienced beverage leader. A great coach who can get the best out of people and continually drive operational performance and execution.
Detailed Responsibilities
Overseeing all aspects of beverage operations
Owns the relationships with our key beverage distributors and manufacturers
Establishes best practices around operational execution of a beverage program
Establishes and oversees compliance of controls related to beverage operations
Establishes effective training programs for beverage operations and restaurant staff
Maintains an understanding of trends and innovations within the Hospitality industry, implementing strategies that strengthen Levy’s market position
Ensuring the training of team members in the beverage program
Working with the location leadership team to continual drive improvements in guest satisfaction and financial results
Building relationships with regular guests and vendors
Ensure the availability of printed collateral to support promotions and bevearge offer communication
Ensuring all aspects of beverage operations are in line with Levy’s Core Signature standards
Attending BEO meetings to plan for upcoming events
Working in partnership with other departments to ensure accurate completion of the requisition process
Working with the General Manager and purchasing team to review consumption rates
Ensuring all appropriate alcohol service signage is placed and that Responsible Service of Alcohol protocols are followed
Completion and processing of alcohol incident logs to identify recurring issues or trends
Holding pre-shift meetings to communicate new products or features
Support team member orientation training to ensure all hourly team members have the skills and knowledge to delight our guests
Ensuring accurate end of month inventory completion
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Supporting other locations/properties as needed
Skills and Experience
At least 5 years’ experience leading beverage operations and execution
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management is preferred
High level of computer literacy
Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
