HP Inc. Global Payroll Project Manager in Spring, Texas

Responsible for leading critical payroll related projects and strategies. Guide payroll team members to ensure a successful project execution. Communicate with payroll executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, analyzes, and develops strategies to achieve best practice and benchmarking targets.

  • Provides the most complex financial analysis for global payroll, typically exercising a unique understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.

  • Analyzes existing processes and technology to identify opportunities for efficiencies, process simplification, global templates alignment, statutory compliance, and cost effectiveness.

  • Consults with business leaders to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope (e.g., long-term business planning, product analysis and development, balancing risk).

  • Defines quality methodology for project implementations and establishes global controls for change management.

  • Provides leadership during the implementation of business-wide programs and products.

  • Leads and advice on the most complex business initiatives, typically leading several project/initiatives across multiple areas within finance and across geographies/organizations.

  • Drives global processes evaluations and assessment of results to define continuous improvement opportunities that impact payroll globally.

  • Define internal audits about systems health and leverage analytics to enhance data reliability and customer experience.

  • Develops organizational governance frameworks, hierarchies, and relationships and facilitates organization-wide stakeholder engagement and agreement.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expertise of complex payroll and HR systems.

  • Proven experience in project team environments.

  • Experience in working in a multi-country, global role.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and prioritization skills.

  • Excellent initiative and independence.

  • Experience in overall architecture of software applications for payroll products and solutions.

  • Fluent English, multi-lingual experience is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.

  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual international environment.

  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.

Impact and Scope:

  • Ability to influence multiple organizations within a broad scope, typically interacting with all level of management, from Individual_Contributors to directors.

  • Oversees the overall pending projects to ensure on time delivery and to ensure any roadblocks are being removed.

  • Decisions with regard to projects/solutions may have organizational impacts to payroll.

Complexity:

  • High

  • Extensive cross-functional/cross-organizational programs. Deals with complex strategic issues.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically 10+ years of experience.
