Min USD $90,000.00/Yr. Benefit Eligible Benefit Eligible FLSA Status Exempt Job Summary We anticipate closing this position to new applicants in February 2024. Provides overall vision and leadership for the areas of institutional data and reporting through the design, development, and execution of a data, research, and reporting environment that supports strategic planning and enrollment analysis, and includes peer comparisons and benchmarking. Ensures compliance with, and completion of, external surveys and assessments. Responsibilities Provides leadership, vision and services for the institutional data and research function, driving the collection, analysis, dissemination, and reporting efforts of university information on enrollment, retention, financial aid, program viability and related financial metrics. Includes chairing Data Strategy and Governance Committee. Coordinates University-wide reporting according to all state, federal and other regulatory requirements for all areas of campus. Leads the maintenance and development of the IDR web page, including the on-line institutional databook and development of institutional dashboards. Conducts regular external analysis of the higher education landscape, including peer-institution analysis and benchmarking, and advises Bethel leadership on the potential implications of relevant trends. Serve as Bethel's contact with the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) and assure compliance with SARA regulations. Coordinate internal requests for data and develop a self-service model for reporting and access to data that includes dashboards. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills Must be a proven self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as lead and collaborate with others. Experience in data analytics, reporting, data services, project management, and data governance, preferably in a higher education setting. Expertise in data governance frameworks, data modeling, and data lifecycle management. Proficiency in common higher education IR data technologies and methodologies in reporting and data analytic services (MSOffice, Tableau/other display, SQL, Qualtrics, Banner, R, Python, etc.). Knowledge of relevant higher education reporting regulations and standards, with experience ensuring compliance. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a diverse range of audiences. Desirable experience includes accreditation processes, assessment of student learning outcomes, assessment of administrative departments, institutional research, academic program review, and working with accreditation and program approval agencies. Experience Required: 10+ years of related experience required. Preferred: 10+ years of related experience and prior experience leading institutional data efforts in a higher education setting. Education Required: A bachelor's degree and master's degree in a related field. Additional Information Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time.
