Software Principal Engineer

What you’ll achieve

As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments

  • Prepare, review and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems. Provide ODMs assessment for new product development, and manage ODMs for EC codes development, issue management for root causing, resolution and closure through the entire cycles.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems

  • Responsible for EC(Embedded Controller) FW development (design, implementation, unit test, issue resolution) of the assigned features on client products.

Essential Requirements

  • Good knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities

  • Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications

  • Experience with multiple programming languages, databases, operating systems, tools and hardware platforms

  • Ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience. Participates in the preparation, review, and analysis of EC requirements and specifications. Participates in the creation of design, functional, technical, and/or user documentation, as needed.

  • Manage ODM to conduct troubleshooting, root-causing and bug fix for any EC related issues. Accurately log project schedule, defect, and other data into the appropriate databases. Team work with other functional teams like EE, validation...

Desirable Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience
