The opportunity

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Cyber Security to join our dynamic cloud team of experts. As the Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and safeguarding our cloud infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on cloud cyber security, with a strong emphasis on identity management. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in governing, monitoring, and managing cloud security strategies, architectures, and solutions.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Develop and execute the company's cloud security strategy in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Proven experience in leading and driving cloud security initiatives, including cloud migration projects, secure cloud adoption frameworks, and continuous monitoring and improvement of cloud security controls.

  • Govern and monitor robust cloud security architectures and solutions across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Evaluate and recommend cloud security technologies, tools, and services to enhance our security posture.

  • Develop cloud security criteria, procedures, policies and monitoring.

  • Demonstrated expertise in governing secure landing zones or cloud environments, ensuring foundational security controls, identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and compliance considerations are integrated from the outset.

  • Proficiency in Cloud IAM solutions and related Identity management systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, engineering, security specialists, and compliance to integrate security best practices into cloud-based initiatives and projects.

  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing of cloud infrastructure and applications.

  • Stay informed about emerging cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

  • Lead cloud security training and awareness among cross-functional teams.

Your experience and qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (at least 5 years) in cyber security roles with a focus on cloud security.

  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated security services.

  • Extend knowledge and background in cloud security policies and governance including Azure security benchmark, AWS security best practices, and CIS guidelines.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts in cloud environments, including:

  • CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management)

  • CWPP (Cloud Workload Protection Platform)

  • CIEM (Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management)

  • CNAPP (Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform).

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP – advantage.

  • Excellent communications, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent decision making and strategic planning capabilities

  • Proven track record of building and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders.

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
