Packout LTO Manufacturing - A Shift - Plant 22 Thomson - $18.49

Position Overview

Position Objective: To provide lift truck support for the Packout Department.

Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):

1. Complies with procedures found in Job Requirement Book. 2. Performs all job duties using safe work methods. 3. Complies with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy. 4. Works normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Works overtime as required. 5. Comply with all environmental procedures and programs. 6. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. 7. Fills out Lift Truck Pre-shift Drive Sheet. 8. Keeps conveyor belt empty. 9. Maintains a properly charged battery in the forklift. 10. Complete forklift truck driving course. 11. Changes out lift battery. 12. Follow general plant procedure for preventing crushed tubes. 13. Scan cases on conveyor and enter into YSF. 14. Take pre-twisted cases from warehouse to creels when needed. 15. Load cases on trailers. 16. Keep Conveyor area clean (including conveyor rollers free of chokes) and floors swept. 17. Complies with all Lockout Procedures in the Packout area. 18. Load tugger carts for Twisting (ensure lag time has been met before loading on tugger carts). 19. Scan cases loaded on tugger carts and download scanner information. 20. Move yarn to Twisting if yarn container will not fit on tugger carts.

Non-Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):

1. Assists other packout department personnel as needed.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to sit, stand, or walk for eight (8) to twelve (12) hours. 2. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry, and reach occasionally. 3. Ability to lift packages weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds occasionally.

Other Requirements:

1. Must have a high school education or its equivalent. 2. Must possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. 3. Actively participates in the Quality P.R.I.D.E. Process. 4. Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.

Training Requirements:

1. Must complete orientation training session. 2. Must complete job requirements training as defined in the training procedures. 3. Must complete EQA/Pride Training. 4. Must complete Quality System Training. 5. Must complete MSDS/Chemical Right To Know Training. 6. Must complete lift truck training course.

Tools, Equipment, & Material Requirements:

1. Responsible for safety equipment issued including safety glasses and earplugs. 2. Responsible for materials and supplies issued. 3. Responsible for equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.

Safety & Security Requirements:

1. Must maintain a safe and clean work area at all times. 2. Must report any unsafe conditions to supervision. 3. Must report all accidents no matter how slight to supervision immediately. 4. Must wear personal protective equipment at all times while in the designated areas. 5. Must comply with all plant and department safety rules and regulations.

Work Shift

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts AM, days change only
