What will you contribute?

The candidate must have proven work experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Web applications in Windows Server based environments. The ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical users, including management, is also essential.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Working and resolving tickets for internal and external clients (2nd and 3rd level app support)

  • Respond to incidents and participating in problem resolution

  • Respond to alerts generated by system monitoring and provide long-term solutions to recoccuring alerts.

  • Application configuration

  • Application Deployment

  • Performance Analysis/tuning

  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

  • Powershell scripting

  • Identify areas where automation can be utilized to reduce manual work

  • Learn and document

Required Experience:

  • Windows Server 2008-2012 or higher

  • Intermediate PowerShell

  • Windows Services

  • Event Viewer/App Log Troubleshooting

  • IIS Administration

  • .Net understanding/basic web application architecture

  • Datacenter Experience (Large Amount of Servers)

  • Virtual Machine Architecture (VMWare, HyperV, Azure)

  • SQL Server Database management / Production Transactional SQL experience

  • DNS/TCPIP

  • Networking Infrastructure and Topology (firewalls, proxy servers, DMZs, etc.)

  • Issue Management Software / Ticket Management

  • Customer Support Skills

  • Written/verbal skills

  • Multitasking

Desired but not Required:

  • Experience with automation software (Octopus, Ansible)
