What will you contribute?

As a member of the systems management support team, this position is a technical resource whose responsibilities are to include application configuration, implementation, technical systems administration skills of both internal and customer premise environments. Additional responsibilities include technical management of performance and support of multiple Internet / Intranet and distributed systems environments including hardware, operating system, middleware, database, server administration tools and application server environments.

Systems engineering responsibilities include: Implimentations, application support, incident management, daily monitoring, operational procedures, backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, testing & support, systems integration support and configuration management, performance analysis/tuning, assessing network performance relative to the systems supported, systems architecture analysis, critical business application (Internet, Intranet or Client Server) performance assessment and capacity planning.

Project assistance may also be required providing systems administration when implementing new functionality supporting business area requirements.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Should have knowledge for ITIL process Incident/Change/Release

  • Perform application installations and implimentations.

  • Work with both internal and external environments to set up, configure and manage various business elements

  • Cordination with internal teams and customers.

  • Work within a multi-tenant datacenter environment.

  • Provide production support for Azure IAAS application

  • Creation and maintenance of various environments using variety of tools

  • Assist all customers and provide production support for all designs and perform tests on all installation process for infrastructure.

  • Perform all tests on production applications, prepare recovery procedures for all applications and provide upgrade to the same.

  • Ensure production support has the right level of monitoring that allow proactive issues identification within our environment

  • Monitor all alerts and escalate all issues for all procedures and systems.

  • Analyze all business processes and ensure compliance to all controlled processes according to business requirement.

  • Provide the support to the task of tracking and controlling changes in the software (software configuration management).

  • Should be able in managing, planning, scheduling and controlling a software build through different stages and environments; including testing and deploying software releases (Release management)

Required Experience:


  • Candidate should have strong Windows Server and virtual machine knowledge.

  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud environment is a plus.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Microsoft SQL Server knowledge.

  • Microsoft IIS knowledge.

  • Knowledge on build and release management tools

  • Scripting and automation knowledge.

  • Ability to handle all system administration tasks.

  • Understanding system performance configuration and tuning techniques.

  • Strong customer focus and management of client expectations; ability to establish a high level of user trust and confidence in IT's knowledge of and concern for users' business needs.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, peers, application development teams and external suppliers.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Proactive, detail oriented, willing to learn.

  • Must be curious and maintain ongoing self-education through research, in addition to provided training tools.

  • Good verbal and written communications skill

  • Should be flexible to work in night shifts, including weekends on demand.


  • 2 to 5 years experience in technical infrastructure and application operations support environments.

  • Experience in supporting high volume and high availability Internet, Intranet and Client/Server systems.

  • AppOps/DevOps experience in manual and automated application deployment eg. Octopus Deploy

  • Experience in working a multi-tenant datacenter environment.

  • Experience with script writing to automate recurring tasks improving operational efficiency.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP, FTP and systems integration through networking concepts.

  • Understanding of Windows domain architecture and administration.

  • Understanding of DNS and DHCP design.

  • Knowledge on Firewall rules and Load balancer management

  • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery.

  • Experience with SQL database management.

  • Experience with IIS management.

  • Experience with automated monitoring tools a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience working well with IT customers of varying levels of technical expertise in high-pressure situations and complex environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
