Intel Software Engineer in Malaysia

Job Description

Intel's Technology Development, Analytics and Technology Automation (ATA) organization is seeking talented software engineers to design and develop factory automation systems for its Factory Data Systems group (FDS).

As a Software Engineer in the FDS group, you will be:

  • Working closely with multiple teams to deliver optimized analysis and data solutions.

  • Designing and creating software solutions to automate and optimize manufacturing.

  • Designing and creating data infrastructure to manage data pipelines, storage and create tools to analyze and process data.

  • Driving projects through the entire software development life cycle from requirements to implementation.

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Proactive mindset and self-motivation to handle ambiguous environment and diverse tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree (with 7+ years of relevant experience) or master's degree (with 5+ years of relevant experience) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in:

  • Programming languages Python, SQL, C#

  • Database systems, database development and middleware technologies

  • Data transformations, data structures, metadata, workload management.

  • Object Oriented software design and/or development and building distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Data analytics and data visualization experience.

  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines.

  • Experience in leveraging open-source packages.

  • Experience in Predictive modeling, statistics, and data mining.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
