Robert Half Trade Finance Specialist in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. You will be part of our dynamic finance team, contributing to the success of our operations in the consumer packaged goods industry. Your role will involve processing accounts, managing payments, maintaining strong banking relationships, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts and incoming payments in accordance with finance policies and procedures.

• Execute bank deposits and perform daily financial transactions, including verification, classification, computation, posting, and recording of accounts receivable data.

• Manage and communicate inventory out-of-stocks.

• Resolve customer payment discrepancies and billing issues.

• Investigate and validate customer trade deductions and disputes as necessary.

• Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory guidelines, monitoring all disputes.

• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.

• Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to guarantee accurate posting.

• Identify discrepancies, irregularities, and potential fraud risks in documents and transactions, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.

• Ensure all trade transactions comply with internal policies, international trade regulations, anti-money laundering standards, and Know Your Customer procedures. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrable experience in Billing, Cash Applications, and Cash Collections

• Familiarity with Commercial Collections processes

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

• Knowledge of Oracle and SAP systems

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
